Shuttle Time in Laos

Making its mark in various countries in Asia over the past few months, the Shuttle Time program arrived at the shores of Laos this time around with 60 participants, which includes 45 children. The program was held successfully at the Tina Club in Habxayfong District, Vientiane, Laos. It was a good exposure and training ground for every participant.

The Badminton Asia Confederation (BAC) is hiring senior management staff to assist the Executive Committee in carrying out its plans.

Responsibilities:

• Will report to the Executive Committee

• Assist the Executive Committee with the development of long range and annual plans, and with the evaluation and reporting of progress on plans.

• Oversee preparation of an Annual Report summarizing progress on short and long range plans.

• Research and write discussion papers, analysis documents and proposals as needed to assist the organisation in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.

• Must understand sponsorship and marketing as well as operations management, employee supervision and international relationships

Requirements:

• Must be a citizen of any of the Asian countries with valid permit to work in Malaysia.

• Good command of English

• Working experience in the related field is required for this position.

• Good communication skills, a pleasant personality and possess a good temperament.

Shuttle Time Cambodia

Badminton Asia Confederation conducted the Shuttle Time program in Cambodia from the 23rd of April to the 3rd of May 2013. It was held at the Badminton National Sports Complex, which is also known as the National Stadium, and the Khmarak Badminton Club. 10 tutors, 15 teachers and 30 students took part in the program. It was an exciting time of learning, engaging, and harnessing talents.

Sri Lanka Shuttle Time

Badminton Asia Confederation is currently conducting Shuttle Time under the Sri Lanka Schoolís Badminton Program. It will run from the 30th of April 2013 until the 7th of May 2013.

A total of 24 tutors from different districts in Sri Lanka have convened at the Sports Hall in St. Thomas College in Mount Lavinia, Sri Lanka for the program.

Dato’Sri Mohd Nadzmi bin Mohd Salleh has agreed to be the BAC President

Dear Member Associations and EXCO Members

RE: Dato Sri Mohd Nadzmi has agreed to be the BAC President

I am pleased to inform you that Dato Sri Mohd Nadzmi bin Mohd Salleh has agreed to be the BAC President. I received his acceptance letter on the 25th March 2013, almost more than week after the EGM in Bangkok.

In his acceptance letter, he mentioned that he is greatly honoured to be offered the post, and his decision to accept the post is purely driven by his desire to unite Asia and to ensure badminton grows immensely in this continent. He also mentioned that he would like to see all members to close rank and work as a team to promote and the develop this sport.
