International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8 worldwide, commemorating the political, social and economic achievements of women.
Over the decades, the objective of Women’s Day celebration has evolved and embraced culture and ethnicity to emerge as a celebration of appreciation, respect and love towards women.
Women’s Day is also celebrated in schools nowadays and also forms an integral part of the curriculum to spread the awareness of women empowerment, their roles and achievements.
Badminton Asia is proud to introduce our very own women in Badminton, who has given their utmost dedication, experience, talents not only to their respective countries but also in the World of Badminton.
Badminton Asia proudly presents our President of Afghanistan Badminton Federation – Ms. Mastoora Arezoo & Sport Ambassador at Afghanistan National Sports & Olympic Committee.
Ms. Mastora Arezoo studied at Shym Lal College, University of Delhi & also attended in Rahman Mina High School in Kabul-Afghanistan. Ms Mastoora Arezoo actively involved in Badminton Sports & she is the only woman to lead a Sports Federation in the country’s history.
Due to her high achievements, throughout her career on her commitments, dedications, sacrifices & talents that she brings into the Badminton Sports in-Afghanistan & that has made her the only woman to be selected as President in a short period of time.
Ms. Mastoora Arezoo not only a talented player but also holds an important role in Administration, organizing an event, involved in a Technical official and as well in Development sectors.
Below are Ms. Mastoora Arezoo’s credentials in Badminton World:
- Participated the Fejir International tournament in February 2015.
- Participated in South Asian game in February 2016, achieved forth position.
- Arranged Shuttle time development program supported by Asian Badminton Federation in year 2015.
- Organized training camp in Iran – supported by Iran Badminton Federation.
- Expansion of Badminton sport to another province rather than just focus on center Kabul.​
Ms. Mastoora Arezoo’s is a beautiful soul that, being such an inspiration to Women out there & also a role-model to women that they too can achieve great in World of Sports. This is an inspiring message to all women who is determine and dare to dream big and not too afraid to achieve it.
