The role is based at the Badminton Asia Office, Malaysia.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
This newly created position is primarily to develop, co-ordinate and manage Badminton Asia’s day-to-day operations and also to ensure proper governance especially in finance. The effectiveness and efficiency of the office shall be the primary concern.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Reporting to the Secretary General/Treasurer/COO
- To oversee and implement the policies and decision made for all matters relating administration and finance.
- To oversee and implement the policies and decision made for Badminton Asia administrative and financial matters.
- To overlook and monitor all matters related to administration and finance and at the same to ensure the office is adhering all administrative and financial procedures.
- To monitor and provide leadership in day to day operational activities of the Administrative and Finance Department.
- Ensure proper documentation of reports, minutes and general circulation to EXCO and Member Associations.
- To liaise and communicate with BWF, CCs and Member Association on their policy, activities or programmes in relations to Administrative and Finance; including any indirectly related matters.
- Responsible to the effective implementation of any activities, programmes and daily function of the Administrative and Finance Department.
COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING MANAGER

PRIMARY FUNCTION
This newly created position is primarily to develop, co-ordinate and manage Badminton Asia’s communications strategy and promotion of activities across all programme areas especially Badminton Asia’s major events including para-badminton and also any other activities that is organised by Badminton Asia. It is preferred that applicants have had experience in a similar role and have some badminton knowledge.
JOB DESCRIPTION AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in a communications role
- Event organisation and delivery experience
- Experience with web-site management; knowledge of Microsoft programs is an advantage
- Experience and a high level of competency working with social media in particular Facebook and Instagram as the candidate is expected to manage the all Badminton Asia’s social medias.
- High levels of competency in English – spoken and written
- Familiar with the sport and world of badminton
- Has a high level of communication skills both verbal and written
- A natural ability to build rapport and develop strong relationships
- High level of computer skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to prioritise workload
- Has a willingness to share knowledge and expertise with others
- Produces and delivers quality results/outcomes on time
- Can use a range of presentation techniques to communicate information, ideas and concepts to groups
- Can make timely and sound decisions both individually and as part of a team
- Photography skills, experience in web-streaming and graphic design skills would be an advantage
