Badminton Asia goes to Miryang in Korea for Regional Umpires Training Course 2018 – South East and East Asia

Badminton Asia is continuing with its relentless and aggressive march in its pursuit to have enough qualified umpires in the game in the continent and the next stop for a regional umpires course is Miryang City in South Korea.

The Badminton Asia Regional Umpires Course 2018 for South East and East Asia got underway at the Korean city on Dec 7 (Friday) and will end on Dec 16.

The course is held at the Miryang Stadium in conjunction with the Woncheon Yonex Korea Junior Open Badminton Championships 2018 in the Miryang City in Gyeongsangnam Province and is known for centuries for its scenery of mountains and valleys and the famous Yeongnam Alps.

Twelve candidates are undergoing the course. Hosts South Korea have two candidates while China, Thailand, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Chinese Taipei, Mongolia, Hong Kong China, Indonesia and Myanmar have one each.
 
The course conductors are Ms Yau Lin Na and Mr Teo Kian Joo – both from Malaysia.
The Miryang Woncheon Yonex Korea Junior Open Badminton Championships to be held from Dec 10-16 offers USD15,000 in prize money
