Three are aspiring to break into the Badminton World Federation A while eight others are hoping to make the grade to the Asian level during the Badminton Asia Umpires Certification Course being held during the 39th edition of the Badminton Asia Championships in Wuhan.
The course – named Badminton Asia Umpires Certification and Mentoring Course 2019 – has drawn participants from nine countries.
For the Badminton Asia Umpires Certification Course, Thailand and Sri Lanka have two participants each while Singapore, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong China and India have one each.
Mansooreh Sadat Jarchian (Iran), Andi Purnama (Indonesia) and Sun Gang (China) are the three candidates who will be tested and prepared for the BWF A level.
