Badminton Asia umpires Appraisal Course in Fuzhou, China

Nine Grade C Badminton Asia Umpires are currently in Fuzhou, China undergoing an appraisal course to upgrade themselves to a higher level – Badminton World Federation (BWF) A accreditation.

The nine come from a cream of Badminton Asia umpires who have shown the potential to upgrade to BWF level. It will be a strict appraisal in Fuzhou – the Chinese city that plays host to the Fuzhou China Open.

The Fuzhou China Open, with a prize money of USD700,000, is part of the HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750. The Fuzhou China Open is from Nov 6-11. 

The nine Badminton Asia accreditated umpires come from the Islamic Republic of Iran, India, China, each with two representatives and one each from the Islamic Republic of Iraq, the Philippines, and Indonesia.

The course named Badminton Asia Umpires Appraisal Course 2018 (Badminton Asia Certificated to BWF Accreditation) runs through Nov 3 to 12.

The Course Conductors are Ms. Zheng Sanliang of China and Ms. Yau Lin Na of Malaysia.

Those who come through the strict appraisal will make the grade for the BWF Accreditation upgrading course next year.
