Nothing seems to have the power to stop Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin’s power. They won all matches they played in 2021 starting from Yonex Thailand Open, Toyota Thailand Open, BWF World Tour Finals 2020 and finally, the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin won gold after defeating China’s third seed Li Junhui/Liu Yu Chen in two straight games 21-18, 21-12. This victory is historical as it is Chinese Taipei’s first gold medal in badminton at the Olympics. Beside that, Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin also broke China’s men’s doubles domination in the last 3 Olympic Games.
In the final round, Lee Yang/Wang Chi-Lin’s fast gameplay didn’t give any chance to their opponent to rise. In just 32 minutes, the final round was done.
