Despite the busy week at the office of Badminton Asia, it was a pleasant surprise that Mr.Wajid Ali Chaudhry, Secretary General of Pakistan Badminton Federation paid a courtesy call to Badminton Asia. Mr.Chaudhry is in Malaysia with his family and decided to pay a visit to Badminton Asia's new office. Mr.Chaudhry was also pleasingly surprised with the office, citing it as a modern and comfortable office. He spent about 30 minutes with Badminton Asia's COO, Mr.Kenny Goh. According to Mr.Chaudhry,Pakistan is also interested to organize an event, which in the last 10 years, Pakistan had not organize any international badminton event.
Mr.Chaudhry also shared some of the plans that Pakistan Badminton Federation has which will centre on developing badminton in that country. Mr.Chaudhry, himself was a badminton player and had represented Pakistan in the prestigious Thomas Cup.Therefore, it was quite apparent his face was glowing with passion when the conversation focused on badminton. Having played for the country for many years, he is now keen to work for badminton and to contribute back to his country through badminton.
As the COO of Badminton Asia, Mr.Kenny Goh is always more than happy to receive calls from Members Association. "I would be very happy if any of our members come and visit us at the office. After all, this office is to serve the members of Badminton Asia. And, I would be even happier if we can talk about how Badminton Asia can assist in the growth of the game in the respective members' countries", said Kenny.
