Thirteen countries send 24 participants to attend Badminton Asia’s Referees Training Course

With badminton not only reaching far and wide in all corners of Asia and the shuttle sport becoming more and more popular in the continent there also comes the need for more qualified officials like referees to ensure the game is played according rules.

And Badminton Asia is also aware of such needs for the popular shuttle sport. With this in mind Badminton Asia is currently conducting a Referees Training Course in conjunction with the OUE Singapore International Series.

A total of 24 participants from 13 countries are attending the week-long course from Sept 15-20 which is conducted by three well known badminton personalities in the region – Mr Chua Soo Hock (Malaysia), Mr Henry Ee (Singapore) and Mr Anthony Linggian (Malaysia).
Singapore leads the number of participants for the course with three candidates while Nepal, Sri Lanka, China, Pakistan, Indonesia, Myanmar, Bangladesh, India and United Arab Emirates have two each. Malaysia, Thailand, and Iran are represented by one participant each. 

Those who pass their theory test will be invited by Badminton Asia to attend the Badminton Asia Accredited Referee course.
