Huang Yuxiang is a professional badminton player that was born in the city of Hangzhou, the capital of a province located in China. He was born on January 25, 1993, and is currently at the age of 29. He has a recorded height of 180 cm and is known for being right-handed. He is currently ranked 34 for men’s singles in the BWF World Ranking.

In the year 2010, Huang Yuxiang was able to achieve a gold medal at the Asian Junior Championships in the category of Boys’ Singles. This championship was held at Stadium Juara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Huang Yuxiang gained first place by defeating Malaysia’s Loh Wei Sheng with 14-21, 21-17, 21-16.

As years passed by and Huang Yuxiang progressed, he was able to have a successful career along the way. He started playing in international tournaments in 2015 and immediately took a spot at the podium. In 2015, just as he took his first steps in international championships, Huang Yuxiang was able to gain traction among the badminton community as he was able to finish 3rd place at the China International Challenge. He won 3rd place by defeating Lee Cheuk Yiu at the quarterfinals but didn’t finish with the same results at the Semi-Finals as he was defeated by Japan’s Kazumasa Sakai.

However, his successful debut didn’t stop there. Only a few months later, Huang Yuxiang earned himself a silver medal at the China Masters when he defeated China’s Tian Houwei in the semifinals. He ultimately finished second place because Huang Yuxiang wasn’t able to overcome his final opponent Wang Zhengming who’s also from China.

In 2016, he was able to achieve first place at the New Zealand Open by defeating Riicha Takeshita with 21-12, 21-17. However, not everything went as swell within the same year. Huang Yuxiang wasn’t able to come with the same results at the Indonesian Masters as he was defeated by China’s Shi Yuqi.

The following year, Huang Yuxiang was able to keep his head up against his peers. In 2017, Huang Yuxiang finished 3rd place at the China Masters 2017. He was able to overcome Sun Fei Xiang in the quarterfinals. Unfortunately, Huang Yuxiang was sadly defeated in the semifinals against Tian Houwei. In 2018, Huang Yuxiang had similar results as the previous year. He was able to finish 3rd place at the All England Open by finishing 3rd place. During the quarterfinals, Huang Yuxiang defeated India’s Prannoy H.S., but he was later defeated by his senior Lin Dan in the semifinals.

As another year passed, Huang Yuxiang continued to embellish his career by finishing 3rd place at the 2019 India Open. He was able to get the better of his opponent, Thailand’s Khosit Phetpradab at the quarterfinals but was sadly defeated at the Finals by India’s Kidambi Srikanth. Huang Yuxiang has continued to maintain a stable career by being able to at least earn himself a medal every year. We wish to see more of his exciting career in the future.
