AOP Badminton Asia Intensive Training Camp Program

Badminton Asia continues their commitment to helping players from developing countries through the AOP Badminton Asia Intensive Training Camp Program, which was held in Kuala Lumpur.

The 10-day programme began on Monday with 12 players from Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Iran, Tajikistan, the Philippines, Nepal, Myanmar, Mongolia and Bangladesh taking part.

These players will undergo intensive training through the guidance and instruction of former Malaysian singles player, Datuk Rashid Sidek, Master Selvamuthu Ramasamy and Mr Mohan Subramaniam Mohan who will give pointers when players are off court and on court.

On the first and second days of the camp, players were given lessons on the importance of focus and methods for warming up, as well as several physical tests to measure individual fitness levels.
