KUALA LUMPUR: There is saying that goes, "Love Thy Neighbours". The truth cannot be denied that having a good relationship with your neighbours, there is much advantage. By having a good relationship, you can have better collaboration, and by having better collaboration, the neighbourhood will be a better place to live.
Certainly, this can be said for Badminton Asia as Badminton Asia is looking forward to a more cohesive working relationship with BWF for the sole purpose to bring the sport of badminton to a higher level. Badminton Asia being based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia is indeed a 'neighbour' to BWF, which is based in Kuala Lumpur. Therefore, as 'neighbour', Badminton Asia is making effort to work closer with the world governing body.
Mr.Kenny Goh, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Badminton Asia, had visited the BWF office and also had a discussion on various matters with Mr.Thomas Lund, the General Secretary of BWF. The focus of the discussion is to look at efforts how the two organisations can be of complement to each other. Besides, Mr.Thomas Lund also briefed on what are the areas that BWF can support the Continental Confederations. The informal yet fruitful meeting lasted about two hours, with both of them agreed that they share the same passion for the game.
Kenny, said "there is certainly an advantage with BWF being close proximity with Badminton Asia. We are indeed looking forward to a better collaboration".
