Badminton Asia Para Badminton Championships 2025 – Second seed Zimo-Yu Tong in semifinals of Mixed Doubles WH1-WH2

Second seed Qu Zimo-Liu Yu Tong from China coasted into the semifinals of the Mixed Doubles WH1-WH2 of the NSDF Badminton Asia Para Badminton Championships 2025 at the SPADT Convention Centre in Korat, Thailand.

The world No. 3 pair was in superb form as they shut down Omair Muhammad-Shabana Shabana from United Arab Emirates in the quarterfinals 21-2, 21-3.

Zimo-Yu Tong’s opponent in the semifinals is Ong Yu-yu-Yang I-chen from Chinese Taipei, who overcame India’s Shasank Kumar-Ammu Mohan 21-18, 21-15.

The other semifinal will see another Chinese pair Zhao Xin-Yin Meng Lu do battle against Korean duo Park Hae-seong-Jung Gyeoul.

Zhao Xin-Meng Lu triumphed over Hamid Salmani-Ruchi Trivedi from India 21-7, 21-13 while Hae-seong-Gyeoul fended off Thailand’s Kittichai Rakjaingam-Onanong Phraikaeo 21-13, 21-7.

WH1 refers to Miced Doubles players who have significant impairment in both legs and trunk, while WH2 players have less impairment in their legs and/or trunk.
